For opticians and stylists

Ffin Eyewear Early Adopter for Independent Opticians and Stylists

Ffin Eyewear designs sunglasses and optical frames in Wales and makes them by hand in Italy. This page is for independent opticians and stylists. Your first order can start from 14 pieces. You get a founder as your account manager, first sight of new designs at least a week early, and no tie-ins or targets. To apply, create a trade account or send an enquiry on the Trade Contact page.

Ffin is a young, award-winning brand, and our first stockists matter to us. Early Adopters are the opticians and stylists who join us at the beginning – and they get terms, attention and access that reflect it.

Early Adopter benefits

01

Start small

Your first order can be as small as 14 pieces – well below the minimum most brands ask for.

02

Reorder on your terms

No pressure and no schedule. Take new stock whenever it suits you.

03

First look

See new designs at least a week before anyone else.

04

A founder as your account manager

Your account is looked after by one of Ffin’s founders, so it always gets the attention it deserves. Need a single colourway quickly for a special client? We’re on it.

05

No tie-ins, no targets

You have taken a leap of faith with us, and we return it. As we grow, our terms will evolve – but we will never force a change of terms on our Early Adopter family.

Stockist questions and answers

Joining Ffin

Who is the Early Adopter offer for?

It is for independent opticians and stylists who join Ffin early. Trade accounts are for businesses that buy to resell, such as opticians, boutiques and concept stores. We approve every account ourselves.

How large is a first order?

A first order can start from 14 pieces. After that, you can reorder whenever you need to. There are no targets or tie-ins.

How do I apply?

There are two ways to apply. You can create a trade account. We may ask for a VAT number (UK and EU), an EIN (US) or a business registration number, and a link to your website or social media. Or you can send an enquiry on the Trade Contact page, in any language. We will contact you to arrange a call, a visit or a sample case.

What are the payment terms?

New accounts pay before we ship. Once we have worked together for a while, we are happy to discuss terms. Orders from outside the UK and EU are paid in full in advance. Read the Trade Terms of Business for the full details.

Terms and selling

Can I swap or return frames?

No. We do not accept returns, exchanges or credits for change of mind. We make small runs, and our prices reflect that. We are happy to discuss the range and colours with you before you order. If an item is faulty, wrong, missing or damaged, we will correct the problem. The Trade Terms of Business explain how.

Do you offer exclusivity?

If you would like local exclusivity, we are happy to discuss it. We will work with you on the area you want, the yearly buying volume you propose, and how we can support each other.

Can I sell Ffin on my own website?

Yes. You can sell Ffin through your own website or online shop. We ask that you do not advertise Ffin-specific discounts in public online. This is a request, not a condition. Store-wide offers, such as multi-buy or frame-and-lens deals, are fine. You always set your own prices.

Can I see the quality before I order?

Yes. We offer video calls, and we can send a sample tray. We can also put you in touch with an existing stockist for a reference. Ask for a sample tray on the Trade Contact page.

Delivery, quality and proof

Are Ffin frames certified?

Yes. Our frames are certified to CE and UKCA standards. We are also FDA registered for the US. In some regions eyewear is classed as a medical device, so this lets us ship to those markets.

How long does delivery take?

Ffin frames are made in Italy. Most of our stock is held at our EU distribution hub. We also hold UK stock, so UK stockists have no import paperwork or import VAT to handle. If an item is not in UK stock, delivery can take longer. EU orders usually take 4 to 8 days, and islands take a little longer. Orders for the rest of the world usually take 5 to 10 business days. US orders are gathered into shared shipments, so they can take several weeks to dispatch. See the shipping questions on the Trade Contact page for terms by region.

Has Ffin won any awards?

Yes. Ffin won Best New Designer and Best Men’s Sunglasses at the Love Eyewear Awards at 100% Optical in London in 2023. Read the story of the founder and the awards on the About page.

Who already stocks Ffin?

Independent opticians in 12 countries stock Ffin. See the list of Ffin stockists.
